Hi guys! Have you encountered the problem of not knowing where to look for book recommendations? Yes? You’re at the right place! No? You got a long list of to be read list ? You’re at the right place too LOL because you can suggest to me the places you go to get your book recommendations 😉 I include here the main platforms apart the WordPress and blogosphere community because I think most of you come from the same blogosphere so it may not be as relevant haha.
GOODREADS
As much as I hate the goodreads app and its platform in general, it’s still the only application to this day that has a whole bookworm community on it that’s updating and leaving feedback on books. So for the newcomers of the Goodreads website, it allows you to search for any book and see the sypnosis, put it as your to- be -read and read the reviews for yourself. One thing that I really like is the fact that they put lists by genre and by concepts that you look for. You can find lists of books about ANYTHING. Here’s an example:

#BOOKSTAGRAM
Another app that I use to get book recs is Instagram and especially using the hashtag #bookstagram, you will see tons of book recommendations. You can also click on the Top section to see the posts with the most engagement. The only downside of this, it’s a lot of hyped books and the most popular ones or the most aesthetic one that get featured. However, I did find some really good reads thanks to the community on Instagram.

Reddit has become one of my FAVOURITE ways to finding books. They have a whole subreddit called /booksuggestions that people would suggest books to you everyday depending on what you are looking for. You can ask anything and there will be someone who knows books that you want.
