MY RATING: ★★★★★★★★★..
IS IT LEGAL TO GIVE A BOOK MORE THAN 5 STARS? BECAUSE THIS BOOK
“Deserves every star in the galaxy laid out at your feet and a thousand diamonds in your hair. You deserve someone who’ll run with you as far and as fast as you want to. Holding your hand, not holding you back.”
See what I did there?..using quotes to rate the book. You are going to see a lot of that in this review! 🙂
How the authors describe the book : It’s a sci-fi mystery/thriller/romance told through a series of hacked documents—IMs, emails, surveillance footage, medical reports, and rantings of an insane artificial intelligence. It’s Battlestar Galactica meets 10 Things I Hate About You.
I’ve changed the quotes to match my review, but you can simply click on the quotes to be redirected to the original ones 🙂
1. “The book is catalyst. The book is chaos. I can see why EVERYBODY LOVES IT.”
Battleships fight, check. Destruction, check. Humanity at risk, check. A complicated relationship, check. Frk**n funny lines, check. Zombie apocalypse, check. I mean this book is perfect. You will be pumped up throughout the book! I’ve never read any novel that has so many plot twists and turns; making my heart pump out more blood than I ever have.

2.“You have me. Until the last star in the galaxy dies, you have me.”
― Jay Kristoff, Illuminae
THIS BOOK HAD ME ALRIGHT. It had me in the actions, it had me with the deep relations and complex character development, it had me with its constant reflection upon human’s place versus the machine’s intelligence. IT HAD ME AT AIDAN. Yes, AIDAN is probably my favourite character because of his psychopathy and his power hungry aspect whiledoing it so innocently at the same time. You be like : wut bruu ? Okay well, just #READTHEBOOK 😀

3. “This book is frequently underestimated. I think it’s because it’s big. ”
Yeah, I’ve read a few bad reviews, and they were bad because they DNF the book. So, for those of you who are planning to start it, I suggest to not give up because every single person that I know who finished this book, instantly gave it a 5 stars rating. It may be a little confusing in the beginning because there are a lot of information thrown your way here and there, but keep in mind: it’s A FILE. Like research files, with a lot of information. But do not take it to the core, just keep rolling with the flow and you will get used to it. Everything makes sense in the end.
4. “AM I NOT MERCIFUL? ”
HUM NO. THIS BOOK WAS NOT MERCIFUL. The writing is astonishing. The fact that they co-author add so much to the story. You get to have 2 talented writers on the same project and it produces pure genius. Big applause to the authors and their team because I can see how much work they put into the characters, the development, the story arc, etc. It’s so addicting, just like a drug. I JUST WANT MORE. Can’t wait for the sequel, guys!

5. –LETS TAKE A BREAK TO CONTEMPLATE SOME MARVELOUS GRAPHIC WORKS FROM THE BOOK-
Probably one of my favourite aspects : the graphic design. Oh hell! They must have quite a team on this novel because every little detail was on point. From ship designs, information to hacked emails configuration. The writing was completing the artwork like a neat puzzle.

I loved this book if it is not obvious haha 🙂 I also created a t-shirt on Society6 here.
The authors have retweeted my review omgg ❤
